Alison & Joe.......He's Her Lobster! (Psssttt....do the claws again!)

Whole world, meet Alison & Joe.  Alison & Joe.......The Whole World! I’m going to spout off a few paragraphs worth of compliments, a handful of comparisons and a baker’s dozen total count of why yall should think these cats are as cool as advertised. Obviously as pre usual it’ll be way too much description considering after a few minutes of meeting them up close their giggles made me giggles and giggles are all cool. Well, maybe no giggles for Joe. He was a bit more composed. OH! And I had so much f’ing fun had hanging out with them and their peeps all day long. Merely a side note but it doesn’t make it any less true!

Now I’ll admit I can be on the more dismissive side of emotion when it comes to other peoples sentimental odds and ends but Alison reeled me in as soon as she opened the door wearing her custom made shirt with the phrase that only fans of the 90’s sitcom, Friends, would instantly pick up on. “He’s Her Lobster!” Followed closely by her sister wearing a shirt that said I’ve got the meat sweats! Every one of Alison’s bridesmaids had their favorite quotes from and episode of Friends. Now given the extremely specific nature of these hilarious inside jokes and the fact that I’m a former Friends junkie, I took it upon myself to admit to Alison and her team that they had passed the cool test and that I would hold them in high regards against all other challenging brides and their teams to come.

Alison and Joe combined weigh in at a solid - 52 pounds and with Alison’s smile alone could she convince me to go lay down in traffic for her. Joe was her perfect balance in the way he was a bit more reserved. That is until he started popping the tops on tasty dranks at their reception. I mean seriously! Never before had I seen a wedding reception carry such an amazing and cheerful vibe that didn’t end with a second line. Theirs didn’t but I thank the god’s for that considering they danced me into a comatose like tiredness that few before them have had the ability to produce in me.

From the hilarious t-shirts, the intense shows of emotion from several different attendees, to the amazing wedding party shredding the dance floor all the way to the liquored up groom and his groomsmen this wedding was one for the ages. Alison and Joe’s style molded perfectly into the environment of Broussards, The Hermann - Grima House and finally drinks at Pat O’Briens, that it was a shame to see the night come to an end. However considering that even lobsters can’t keep their claws of each other we had part ways. Lobster love is a unique and intense site to behold people. Never, ever stand in the way of Lobster Love! Thanks Again Joe & Alison. In the immortal words of Chandler Bing, I say, “ You and me have always been like right there!”

Cheers,

Titus

Size Doesn't Matter....Or how to enjoy the spoils of a smaller more intimate wedding day!

Whole world....Kate & Tracy.  Kate & Tracy......Meet the whole world.  My definition of the phrase "Whole World" basically irons out to my parents, and handful of Canadians and some dude from Siberia who from what I can tell from my analytics is quite the dedicated and passionate fan of Titus Childers Photography and his ever slower and slower blog posts.   For that I say Danke to my Tovarishch in Siberia and because of your stead fast dedication and inspiration to push me forward I'll do my best to not wait almost eight months to share a blog about a fantastic couple!

I have to say that my blogs have entered a non-light of day regression that has been happening since last year and around the time of Kate & Tracy's fantastic wedding.  The good news for the bride and groom is that I've had almost a year to prep for the most clever, insightful and emotional blog post about a kick ass couple that it will end all blog posts.  Oddly enough I think that's the excuse I'll give my 7 avid blog readers on how/why I haven't written a blog post in too long of a time.  Alas, no one wants excuses and hey I gotta be honest, I hit 41 this year and I'm afraid to say I think I'm actually running out of any viable excuses that I can straight faced deliver to anyone.

On to the main reason you find yourself reading my silly gibberish.  Two main reasons actually, the lovely and intelligent Kate and her dapper, soft spoken old school man of men, Tracy.  Their wedding was of a smaller capacity in the numbers of people and the overall size and scope.  However, I have yet to photograph another five hour wedding package that has lived up to the enormity of emotion, great family and quality images that these two delivered for me.  One of my favorite things about smaller and shorter wedding shoots is the intimate portrait sessions with a bride and groom.  Kate, Tracy and I walked around the CBD of New Orleans for almost an hour and we basically went exploring for cool and colorful locations all while holding cocktails in our hands and chatting back and forth like we were wide eyed tourists on the prowl for the inevitable good time New Orleans will deliver if you stay the course.

All of Kate and Tracy's family and friends were absolute aces.  I was treated with the all the kindness and respect that one would come to expect from a smiley bride and a groom with a pony tail!  Seriously, other than Steven Segal, name one dude with a pony tail that has been an outright bastard to you.  It's a tall order.  After a brilliant portrait session with the bride and groom, tear filled family and group portraits and the short yet emotional ceremony at Pigeon & Prince, it came time for me to bid farewell to Kate and Tracy.  I can't begin to express my appreciation for their sunny dispositions and clearly being the type of couple who is prepared to take life as it comes and make all of their problems or successes small and close to the chest.  Kate and Tracy,  y'all are aces and a couple at the top three on my list of couples who can really hold their booze.  And some pretty damn high quality booze at that!

Cheers,

Titus

Deja & Brandon.......What Is That? Velvet? :)

Whole world.....Deja & Brandon.  Deja & Brandon.......The Whole World!  Now that we've gotten the introductions out of the way I'd say it was way past time that I get to giving you fine readers a rundown on one of the most in tune couples that I've ever had the great pleasure of working with!

I'm going to omit the fact that it was yet another blistering hot day.  As well as the overall lack of common sense being utilized by local or as of yet, unidentified non-local motorists in and around the city of New Orleans that day.  Also, the ridiculously over bearing, chest swelling idiocy of the parking lot supervisors who instructed me to proceed into the line of traffic from which I sat, seething with rage, even after I told him that I was there to photograph a wedding.  Luckily my fellow photographer, Trent Spann, was Johnny on the spot to pick up any slack on my part.  Yep!  We won't dwell on those day of irritations that we have no control over.  Instead, I can focus on everything that went right, which was a whole helluva lot!

Despite the dual temple massaging on my part towards my fellow humans that day I was treated to a positive couple and their fantastic friends and family.  From the time I met up with Deja at Hotel Mazarin, to our time spent at The Pavilion of Two Sisters in City Park and back downtown for Deja & Brandon's epic second line, all of the outside irritations were less than foot notes on an overall kick ass wedding.  I can rest assured that if and when these two decide to have kids that those kids won't fall into the pool of knuckleheads that I had to deal with that day.

You might think reading this that I allowed those interactions to overshadow the most important aspect of the day, which was to ensure that these two had a stellar experience.  To which I would like to add two points of emphasis : 1. I promise you I'm not bitter and 2.  If you really think that then I naturally must assume you were one of many afore mentioned knuckleheads and I request that you stop annoying your fellow man.

Many thanks to Deja & Brandon!  It was a delight to document your big day!

Cheers,

Titus

Lisa & Greg....We Now Return to Your Wedding Already in Progress on the Sun!

Whole World....Meet Lisa & Greg!  Lisa & Greg.....The Whole World!  Let's just bypass all the sweet innocent compliments and pleasantries because this couple, my stalwart and dedicated blog aficionado's, are the coolest cats and down to earth knuckleheads I've met in a long time and quite frankly, they're so much fun I seriously believe they'd be more comfortable if I sat here and busted their chops as opposed to the kissy kissy fluffy bunny flag waving descriptions that I had ready about them for this blog.

Nope!  Considering the first time that I met Lisa & Greg at Mojo coffee, the three of us were blah, blah, blah-ing away.  Going through the specific details of start times, locations and making sure their photographer was properly weened off his whiskey for the week as to ensure his prompt and well groomed appearance at Hotel Mazarin.  Yes it was a lengthy and in depth chat.  The kind of chat that shared a few laughs but also we all proved that we weren't afraid to touch on the big ticket life items.  Such as our common love for the group of gypsy punks commonly known as Gogol Bordello. For those of you keeping score at home that would bethe name of a band.  A very loud, energetic and sweaty band at that.  Which almost on cue I had realized whilst sipping my 1000 degree hot latte outside chatting with my cool as cucumbers new clients, whom the two of were positioned oh so gently under an overhang with plenty of shade.  It was their comfort that immediately sparked my receptors into realizing I had been sitting directly under the blazing hot morning sun and now to accompany B.O.B(bright orange ball) I had been slowly trying to raise my core temperature to that of molten lava to balance my sizzling egg cooking five-head.

It was a good chuckle. At least for Lisa and Greg it was.  Now I must admit I usually connect easily with people who can't pass up the opportunity to giggle at the irritating misfortunes of others even if they're laughing at yours truly.  It was all in good fun but the great and powerful mystic of mischief and misery in the sky isn't without a sense of humor.  Fast forward to the October wedding day of my pals who also happen to be two of the clearly capable cleaner-uppers into fancy attire that I have yet to witness.  That means they both looked dope people!  Keep Up!  Any who, back to the sense of humor statement  and why it ties into my extremely weak story.  You know what, here's the cliff's notes version y'all,  You heard me say it was October.  You heard the coffee story? Right!  Ok well holy flipping October reading of Dante's habanero  Inferno hell was it about as hot as you could possibly think a day to be when over a massive portion of the good earth humans were enjoying a cool breeze and leaves changing colors.  Thankfully for all of us  Greg and Lisa had an outdoor ceremony, ;) but in good fashion it was over and done with quickly but not so quick that their vows were any less poignant.  Now brothers and sisters I will say I really did enjoy the intimacy of their wedding which short and sweet.  As it was, it started making several people leak from the eyes, however there was no damn way I could've told the difference between their sweat or their tears so we just kept on rolling along.

When the day of fun and fever blisters neared the end I couldn't have felt better about the amazing shots we got of Lisa & Greg.  Fortune smiled one last time for us in the way of cooling off a bit enough to sweat a normal amount during the kick ass second line to Pat O's.  My new friends, being the kind and gentle souls they are graciously invited me in for drinks but I couldn't help but notice that my blood type at that particular moment was mostly Sand Positive so one drink would've sucked up the last morsel of moisture clinging to my love handles.  I took this time to fade off graciously down the center of Saint Peter street.  It wasn't a half bad attempt at imitating an old cowboy movie as our hero walks off into the unknown and just like in those old movies I strolled down the darkened road littered with the littered snoring bloated bags of twenty somethings sleeping in their own sick as well as cheers of HEY GIRL!!   Ah, the classics never get old.   Lisa & Greg, thank you so much for your uplifting spirits!  I had a great time!  Y'all are aces!  See you at the next Gogol Bordello show!

Cheers,

Titus

Lulu & Jochem.........Licensed to (be) Ill! Aka....You think it's funny but it's snot!

One of the many perks of photographing weddings in New Orleans, at least in my humble opinion, is how small such a huge city can be.  I'll be the first person to admit that it's quite the paradox living in a place where a little bit of fun is considered a half measure.  Go big or go bigger.  Which is why it should be pointed out to all you wild animals (certainly must throw myself in that category) who are out getting shredded and making epically ridiculous life decisions (But seriously, Kudos to those of you who are!) I guarantee you that someone, whom you won't remember bore witness to your Tom Foolery and you will cross paths with them again.  And yes, it will be as awkward as advertised!

With that being said none of my malicious deeds were witnessed by anyone at this brilliant ceremony of Lulu and Jochem, nor did any rambunctious or dastardly deeds tarnish  the starry  eyes of one of my raddest Bride's ever.  No ladies and gentleman, sadly the connection in question revolved around a particular feline friend of Lulu and myself.  When our lines of communication opened up Lulu informed me that she just recently moved to Amsterdam with Jochem, however her previous residency was literally around the block from my house.  Apparently we'd lived next to each other yet at just so slight of a bend of the corner that we went several years without crossing paths.  Once we started to pick each others brain Lulu recalled the times she took it upon herself to feed and care for some of the less than crazy, scratchy hobo neighborhood stray cats.  We apparently had a soft spot for one cat in particular, whom is now called Pete, whom is also a female,( I never checked in the early days when we first met and I named him.  I respected his privacy!) and whom had also been taking full advantage of the kindness of Lulu and myself.  It was increasingly obvious considering he(she) is the fattest goddamn stray cat I've ever laid my eyes on.  Also not too shabby of a companion to chill with.

I know the three of you that actually sit down and read this are saying to yourself, "Here we are skimming through a blog post which I rightfully deducted was about a nice couples wedding and here we are reading about the ills of too much partying in NOLA, A He/She overweight cat and the meekest of connections between a photographer and his beautiful client/bride whom also partakes in the feline obesity issue."  Fear not loyal readers, there was indeed one of the grandest weddings that I have ever been privileged to witness.  Not only was I referred to Lulu and Jochem by the dearest sweetest soul - Wedding Coordinator around, Miss Erin St. Pierre of It's Your Time Events, the list of vendors not only included a dear friend whom I hadn't seen in quite some time, on hair, the brilliantly painted inside the lines stylings of Miss Agnes Backman, co-owner of Folklore Salon.  Then the final fantastic slap of enlightenment came from arguably (I wouldn't argue) one of the best in the business regarding the greatest gift you can give to anyone that is guaranteed to die shortly after receiving but within that time you can stick your nose in them and sniff yourself crosseyed, was the real Atomic Blonde, Miss Kim Starr Wise.  Rocking the beautiful flower arrangements as expected.  The bride and groom held their ceremony at the absolutely creepy, cool one of a kind Felicity Church.  If you haven't seen Felicity Church inside or out trust me when I say it is nothing short of unique.  It was such a fantastic venue to photograph.  To cap off the festivities of pussycats, old friends and the blossoming new marriage of Lulu & Jochem the crew cracked open a bottle of Jack Daniels, which was purchased by the brides father when she was born and he finally opened it up and began pouring everyone a celebratory shot of one hell of an aged Gentleman Jack's premium whiskey.  Although the look on Lulu's face would suggest she was drinking goblin piss the majority of the guests thought it was fantastic.

Despite being unfavorably ill for her entire wedding as well as the day before and the day after, Lulu held serve and managed to convince her party people all was well and that this was their day to celebrate.  I know she probably will give me crap for mentioning how sick she was but as you read in my blog title a snippet regarding snot, lets just say we made sure to have kleenex on hand for the emotional drips as well for the nasal ones.  Once the day was done and I retired to my home I made sure to sit down with our old friend Pete to discuss with him/her how the day went.  Naturally as you could expect, he looked at me and demanded he be petted and had no damn idea what the hell I was rambling on about.  I mean really people.  He's a cat. Did you think he was gonna get drunk and make a fool of himself? Geez!

Cheers,

Titus

Andrea & Luke ---- The Other Side of the Pillow

Ok!  So who has two thumbs and hasn't been keeping up with his blog posts about the amazing humans that he is lucky enough to photograph?  Yes, I'm sorry to say it's this guy!  I give you all the respect that you deserve in figuring out that these warm and sunny images weren't taken over the last month (July to be exact! eeeek!).  The winter hibernation had me stockpiling slacker fat cells at an alarming rate.  Hopefully this entry will be the catalyst to new posts but since Mardi Gras is upon us I wouldn't hold your breathe for me to start churning out blog posts.

Back to the couple at hand.  Whole world meet Andrea and Luke.  I was lucky enough to be recommended to these two beauties by an friend in the wedding industry, Kelly Davis Leff, who is a bomb ass Videographer!  So if y'all need some Spielberg-esque cinematography stylings to your life you'll find her business name and link at the end of this blah blah blah session of mine!

Not long after Kelly gave Andrea and Luke my info, I naturally sweet talked them into letting me be a part of their wedding day.  I'm here to confirm to you all that the smiles she lends to some of these photos are even more epic to witness in person.  I've always had a soft spot for anyone who laughs intensely at my ridiculous ramblings and Andrea certainly is at the top of that list!  My good pal Luke had just as much a positive demeanor although I think he was a bit more cautiously intrigued by my jokes than Andrea!  Luke knows I'm just busting his chops.  You could tell by his expressions that day that he knew he hit the jackpot with this girl and you can't blame him for that.

These two were in great spirits all through their portraits at the Renaissance Hotel, their one of a kind ceremony at St. Patricks Church and finally their reception held at Mothers, a New Orleans favorite.  I'm here to confirm to the world that photographing an outstanding and down to earth couple is every bit the treat you'd expect it to be.  It's even better when their wedding party and family and friends are all equally outstanding.  It can't hurt to mention that it's a rough night when you get to stuff your face with Po' Boys from Mother's, take photos for a living and then end the night alongside the bride and groom and a  handful of mutual friends that were invited to the wedding tipping back tasty drinks!  A tip of the cap to Luke and Andrea!

Cheers,

Titus

Amanda & Terry..."A Golden Meadow Wedding", or how to navigate a wedding amidst hundreds of drunk men and women in red dresses!

Do you remember that epic 80's jam by Whitesnake Here I Go Again?  Maybe it'll help to remember the visual of the epically super hot red head, Tawny Kitaen, take a moment to mock her name(like seriously, neither her first or last names are names of any kind.  They are made up hollywood drivel).  Anywho, the reason I bring up that classic car wax commercial based jam is because for the first time ever I want you to read a part of my blog to the melody of Here I Go Again.  So a little bit like, Here I Go again, to blog alone,  when was the last time I Blogged I do not know!  Like a slacker idiot I procrastinate alone.  Busy wedding season fries my dome!  But oh well, like Bob Eucker says, Ah who the hell cares! No bodies listening anyways!

Oh yeah, so on another memory refresh or what I like to call hey jackass show people your work,  I had the great pleasure of tagging along with my pals Terry and Amanda for a blistering warm August ceremony.  Let me tell you something,  I immediately liked Amanda.  Mainly because I believe most folks, especially wedding photographers who have to carry heavy ass equipment around in the blistering heat, will look you dead in the eye and say I'd rather not pay rent this month then suffer outdoor labor in August in New Orleans.  I mean seriously we might as well summer on the Sun for god sakes.  Which leads me back to my boss Bride, Amanda, who I could tell upon one look that this girl is tough.  She carries herself as if to say to hell with it!  If I'm suffering everyone is suffering with me and this way we will also weed out the weak ones which in turn leaves her much more space on stage to shred Rolling on the River, by Tina Turner.

I admire Amanda and Terry for their success in this crazy fish bowl we live in and I can tell they are headed towards a bright future.  A way more less decaying and withering future and appearance the that which is now Tawny Kitaen who looks just dreadful.  I mean seriously I just can't believe its the same person.  Her picture should be put on packs of cigarettes to warn people of the dangers of drugs, alcohol and dating rock stars.  Ok this blog seemed  a bit  spiteful.  But I honestly cannot apologize.  My head is still cooked from working outside in this hot ass state so just give me this one.

Terry and Amanda your wedding rocked!  Never do I believe I can cram as much content into a five hour wedding day as I did for you two.  Fear not  though.  You were both completely worth the effort.  Oh and New Orleans had its annual Red Dress Run during Amanda and Terry's big day. Those knuckleheads wear dresses.  In the heat.  And then they run.  And then drink alcohol all day.  And I thought my head was cooked!  Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Cheers,

Titus

Sarah & John.........A Wedding Less Ordinary (aka, Simplicity & Design)

Sarah & John!  John & Sarah!  No matter how I say it these two wickedly fierce friends of mine just go together like PB & J, NOLA & Mardi Gras, or to put a Forrest Gump stamp on them, like Peas & Carrots!  However in no way is John simple like Forrest nor is Sarah a wicked mean heartbreaker like Jenny.  C'mon!!  Don't be so sensitive.  We all know Forrest should've given up on Jenny after the first 30 minutes of that movie.

It's no secret that I like to get to know my couples as best I can prior to their big day.  Sometimes though it isn't always possible to grab a pre-wedding day Purple Drink and get to the core of what makes my couples tick.  Luckily that wasn't the case for me with these two.  Give or take a couple of years back I was contacted by Sarah to do some photography for her brilliant online fashion publication, Felicity Magazine.  Fashion/Portrait Photography was (and still is) a big part of my early days/College years of becoming a photographer.  Sarah set up a nice in home studio space for the photo shoot which was nice for the creative team to have room to work yet close enough to engage in idle chit chat or random playful shenanigans.  Some of the collaborators on our first shoot I was already acquainted with but it was my first meeting with Sarah.  Within about five minutes Sarah and I were like Forrest and Bubba.  Only with a higher IQ!  Well, Sarah at least.  Sarah has since been a fierce friend and since her and John are by far one of the most ridiculously compatible couples ever him and I had no problem smoking and joking on the porch during breaks in the photo shoot.  Plus we are both veterans which always makes the beers and conversation flow much more smoothly.

It wasn't much longer after that first photo shoot that my new pal John couldn't resist locking this girl down and he popped the question to which Sarah emphatically agreed.  Well I'm speculating on the emphatic part since I wasn't present for the proposal but these two are ridiculously head over heels for each other so that's the description I'm sticking with.  One thing I'm 100% certain of is when Sarah asked if I would photograph their wedding I emphatically agreed with school girl like squeal.  Re-enactments of said squeal will be performed by me upon request for 10 bucks or two cold pints of Guinness!

John & Sarah's wedding day was as unique and humble as the couple themselves.  Sarah and her fantastic group of beautiful yet absolutely party ready Bridesmaids got ready at Sarah's house.  As if there would be any other place they would get ready!  If we can do a photo shoot with hair stylists, makeup artists, creative directors, models, photographers and crazy small dogs running wild then her house could handle that crew!  They had a New Years Eve wedding held outdoor in New Orleans City Park followed by their reception held at Ralph's almost directly across the street.  Much like the adoring couple, Life isn't without a sense of humor.

Almost immediately after the ladies were dressed and ready to depart for the ceremony the heavens opened up and stayed open the entire night.  And holy crap when I say it rained I mean I was about an inch of water away from breaking down the custom alter John & Sarah stood under and constructing it into an arch to load family and friends onto so they could row over to the reception! The weather didn't sour anyones mood nor did it hinder the one of a kind sparkler adorned processional which was accompanied by two of the couples good friends performing a tune written just for John & Sarah.  Everyone stayed moderately dry under the tent for an intimate and hysterical ceremony.  Then once vows and rings were exchanged these two beautiful love sick newlyweds headed out of the tent and without hesitation or even a slight frown or a stink eye to the sky they began wading through ankle deep puddles and a torrential downpour for their second line. Seeing them laugh and dance whilst being pummeled by rain was an epic sight to behold!

I don't know much but what I do know is that relationships of any kind can be a challenge.  I wish I could say that every couple I've ever met and/or photographed lived happily ever after but that isn't the case.  However I do believe in these two and their marriage.  I would confidently bet my soul on them being together forever.  Or until the rains wash us away or until being friends with me gives one or both of them a heart attack.  I am proud to call them my friends and I couldn't have been happier seeing them tie the knot.  John & Sarah, just for the record, please don't make me lose my bet.  I'm quite attached to my soul.

Cheers,

Titus

Bill & Lisa.........Cubbies and Buffaloes, Holy Cow!

Over the few and fabulous years that I've existed I have picked a few pearls of wisdom.  Even had some of them violently thrown right in my face.  No matter the delivery of said pearls I've always tucked them away as reminders of future encounters and different ways to handle them or better yet, not handle them.  One hard yet noble truth about your narrator is that I have AMAZING instincts.  Unfortunately I always seem to ignore them.  What can you do!?

The reason I mention my uncanny ability to ignore my amazing instincts deals with the first 10 minutes of meeting the bride, Lisa, for the first time.  I noticed one of Lisa's pieces of flare was a shiny pin representing the Colorado Buffaloes, whom as a Nebraska Football fan aren't well revered by me or many of my beloved Husker Nation.  Enter my foot in mouth moment where before I even realized it I was verbally blasting Lisa's alma mater.  I put my own fire out quickly and even though my stupidity oft times can be removed from the records with a little bit of Childers charm, it wasn't necessary due to the fun loving aura of Lisa and her obvious knowledge in the subject of guys saying stupid things!

My time spent with Bill and Lisa wasn't long.  At least not long enough to explain the ease at which the three of us became friends.  These two moved through the French Quarter with a swagger I rarely see from visiting couples.  After their first look we strolled through the streets utilizing some good lighting conditions and drink specials to cool us down from the heat.  After a short yet expression filled ceremony Bill and Lisa's guests and family were treated to an epic second line by none other than The Kinfolk Brass Band.

It seemed like 2016 was a pretty solid year for them.  Their Buffaloes were back in the headlines for their football.  The Chicago Cubs, their baseball team, were in the headlines but finally for winning the World Series and their wedding, which was as much fun as anyone could pack into 6 hours, was close enough to the end of the year to consider the year a success.  Take that 2016!

Cheers,

Titus

Chrissy & Garrett.....Ladies & Gentleman, The President & First Lady of Cool

As it often goes with wedding photographers and I'm guessing several other vendors participating in Garrett and Chrissy's big day, I'd never once in my life met this couple.  However, one half of that couple, Chrissy, was kind and pleasant!  At least as kindness and pleasantry that I could deduct from a couple of emails discussing the specifics of the day.  I was picturing her as sparkling vision of the binary code as best I could figure!

I turned the corner to make the final 50 yard walk to finally meet this glorious binary code bride when low and behold upon the Bourbon Orleans Balcony stood Garrett.  Now before I innocently take a jab at Garrett, he's my pal folks and I have nothing but respect for the man, BUT after the days on end of curiosity to whom my Binary Code was in person, I get a stocky Irish looking fellow with a head shaved so close you could see your reflection in it and a suit that is up at the top of list of sharp attire!  Not to paint my friend with too mean of a brush he did greet me with a pleasant smile and a handshake but I will say this and I'm sure he'll agree the man is no sparkling Binary Code folks.

Enter the the star of the day, Chrissy.  Far from ones and zeroes.  Chrissy was a sight to see nonetheless and surpassing any face or personality that anyone could attribute via reading emails.  Once faces were attached to the names I witnessed a sincere First Look between the bride and the groom out on the balcony of The Bourbon Orleans.  The next couple hours it was just the three of us frolicking throughout the streets of the French Quarter capturing portraits of them that they pulled off so effortlessly that I almost put the camera on a timer with a recording of my voice and headed to the bar.  There was still a ceremony and little bit of dancing yet to be done before the night ended so I gathered up my professional side and we glided through the remaining parts of Garrett and Chrissy's big day with ease.

I've since hung out with the couple socially  after their wedding day and just as I suspected their pleasant and friendly demeanor wasn't an act or an illusion created by a spectacular photographer using mind control techniques and epic an epic posing system the statue of David would be envious of.  In the end they got epic wedding day photos and I gained new friends.  Even the despite the fact one of those friends doesn't come with hair.  Oh well! I'll take 'em!

Cheers,
