Alison & Joe.......He's Her Lobster! (Psssttt....do the claws again!)
Whole world, meet Alison & Joe. Alison & Joe.......The Whole World! I’m going to spout off a few paragraphs worth of compliments, a handful of comparisons and a baker’s dozen total count of why yall should think these cats are as cool as advertised. Obviously as pre usual it’ll be way too much description considering after a few minutes of meeting them up close their giggles made me giggles and giggles are all cool. Well, maybe no giggles for Joe. He was a bit more composed. OH! And I had so much f’ing fun had hanging out with them and their peeps all day long. Merely a side note but it doesn’t make it any less true!
Now I’ll admit I can be on the more dismissive side of emotion when it comes to other peoples sentimental odds and ends but Alison reeled me in as soon as she opened the door wearing her custom made shirt with the phrase that only fans of the 90’s sitcom, Friends, would instantly pick up on. “He’s Her Lobster!” Followed closely by her sister wearing a shirt that said I’ve got the meat sweats! Every one of Alison’s bridesmaids had their favorite quotes from and episode of Friends. Now given the extremely specific nature of these hilarious inside jokes and the fact that I’m a former Friends junkie, I took it upon myself to admit to Alison and her team that they had passed the cool test and that I would hold them in high regards against all other challenging brides and their teams to come.
Alison and Joe combined weigh in at a solid - 52 pounds and with Alison’s smile alone could she convince me to go lay down in traffic for her. Joe was her perfect balance in the way he was a bit more reserved. That is until he started popping the tops on tasty dranks at their reception. I mean seriously! Never before had I seen a wedding reception carry such an amazing and cheerful vibe that didn’t end with a second line. Theirs didn’t but I thank the god’s for that considering they danced me into a comatose like tiredness that few before them have had the ability to produce in me.
From the hilarious t-shirts, the intense shows of emotion from several different attendees, to the amazing wedding party shredding the dance floor all the way to the liquored up groom and his groomsmen this wedding was one for the ages. Alison and Joe’s style molded perfectly into the environment of Broussards, The Hermann - Grima House and finally drinks at Pat O’Briens, that it was a shame to see the night come to an end. However considering that even lobsters can’t keep their claws of each other we had part ways. Lobster love is a unique and intense site to behold people. Never, ever stand in the way of Lobster Love! Thanks Again Joe & Alison. In the immortal words of Chandler Bing, I say, “ You and me have always been like right there!”
